Manchin is doing what a Senator should do - fight for the interests of his state. These provisions would have directly impacted his state in a very negative way. Bravo. Too bad more are not like him. Most Senators fight for other agendas and not for the people they represent - whether they have a D or and R behind their names. He is a rare breed. o7
No one is perfect. But, he is willing to go against the flow and stand his ground when he feels strongly about something. I can respect that, no matter what party a person belongs to.
It’s curious to me that the senate is always so evenly divided. And there is always a couple of senators that vote consistently with the other party. (Let’s show the sheep that we are working for them) so we get excited when manchin goes against his party, and they get excited when murkowksi or Romney vote with their party. All a scam. They vote this way to keep their fundraising coffers full.

100% correct. Its a shell game to make the voters think they have two sides to choose from. We do, but it isn't Rep vs Dem. It's US vs Them.
