...matte a burger with the delicious flake of wood smoke?
Nothing against propane btw. I just grew up with charcoal, then moved into a house with an oak tree that drops limbs all the time, so I have all the wood I need for barbecuing.
...and fuck does it make the food taste better, even if you do nothing else to it, that Smokey charredness just takes the flavor to the next level (even hotdogs)
True enough. 😺 As Hank Hill might say, "Is there anything propane can't do?"

I've eaten both and don't discriminate. Charcoal does taste better to me. 🍖
Hardwood is even better when you can get it.
Be warned, your neighbors may call the fire dept when they see the cloud of smoke😂😎
To this day, I worry one of them is gonna think the house is on fire...😆
We run calls on smokers more than you’d think. Dumb neighbors.
