Hey frens. I hope I'm not being selfish or coming out of the blue with this, but I'm requesting prayers for my health. I suspect I am dealing with a bacterial or parasitic infection that might be more than I can manage naturally, and I might need to go to Urgent Care for this. The past few times I've seen doctors, they haven't been able to do jack squat for me, so I have both the fear that I'll get brushed off when this could be something serious, and the fact that I am uninsured and a doctor's visit is something I have been trying to avoid for as much financial reasons as practical reasons.
Naturally, I'm a bit of an anxious mess right now. I've been watching my body carefully and hoping this this infection works its way out if I properly rest and nourish myself, but if I have to go in, I'm hoping that I'll get a doctor who actually listens and doesn't charge me out the ear for what I hope is just a need for some proper antibiotics.
I hope that all makes sense. Like I said, I'm starting to get pretty nervous about this and I don't think that helps the situation at all. I've been praying for a breakthrough in my health so I can get past this, but I feel so far away from the Lord right now that I feel like maybe I need some help in this department. Any possible advice for naturally handling an infection like this would be awesome too. I'm worried that if it is bacterial, because of it's location on my right side, it might be appendicitis, and I just don't need that time bomb right now. :( If it's a parasite, I'm not sure what else to do besides antibiotics. I'm at my wit's end.
Anyways, thanks in advance. You guys are the best, not just because I can make a prayer request like this but because you guys are just an amazing, talented group of frens and you are a daily life saver in this crazy world.
If I couldn't get the tablets, I'd go to the neighborhood farm & ranch store and get the paste for horses.
I'll give that a shot tomorrow. Thanks!
Or try ordering it online. Tractor Supply or Amazon
Also Valley Vet
Praying for wisdom and would suggest upping your vitamin C & D intake and trying Quercetin if you can't find Ivermectin.
Thank you. I've upped my vitamin D dosage and I've got both pineapple and cranberry juices, so I'm hoping that will finally take.
If you think it's appendicitis though, you want to go get medical attention stat. Check your symptoms on line, and if they line with appendicitis, don't wait- go!
….”but I feel so far away from the Lord right now…”
That too, my fren, is a dis-ease. I will gladly pray for you, but know that the Lord is never far from us, and always hears our prayers. We just have to open our hearts to receive the answer. Start there, and He will bless you with the discernment you need, and you will know what to do - whether it’s a medical treatment or a change of diet, etc. May God bless you and restore you to perfect health.
Thank you so much.
Ivermectin
I would if I could get it quickly, but unfortunately, I don't live somewhere where I can accomplish that. :/
Colloidal silver may be a good addition to take care of anything bacterial. My spouse always hated the idea of using that, but I have used it and have seen positive results for bronchial/respiratory issues...can even be used in a nebulizer with saline, though not for appendicitis type symptoms of course.
I just had a conversation with my brother last week about his "feeling far from God" I reminded him that faith and feelings are not the same. We all tend to allow our emotions (sadness, depression, anger, etc.) to determine "where" we are in God's eyes. That's what the enemy wants -- but don't let that happen.
Faith comes by hearing the word of God, not by feelings. We have faith because we believe the eyewitnesses who walked with Jesus and who saw Him crucified and buried -- when He rose from the grave just like He said He would, each witness was still shocked and even doubted. But Jesus reassured each one in the way that He knew would get through to them individually.
Jesus is God (John 1:1) He made you and He knows all about your willingness and desire to "feel" close to Him. "Be Still and know that I AM God!"
As for the healing that you need. Make sure you have a Health Care Power of Attorney with someone who you trust to demand that you not be put on anything you would not want. Go to the ER, not an urgent care. They MUST treat what ails you and don't worry about the bills, the best is yet to come.
Thank you for reaching out to us here, we are your Frens 100%.
I've been to the ER before, and my experience there is why I try to avoid hospital visits and doctors unless absolutely needed. I'll keep the Power of Attorney in mind, though. Thank you for both the words of faith and the advice.
Health care Powers of Attorney can be written on a plain sheet of paper with your signature - nothing fancy - nothing "legalese" just make it clear and scan a copy for your responsible person email it to them, email it to yourself, and take one with you for if they admit you and fold one up and put it in your wallet.
I had chronic appendicitis for years and so many wrong guesses from doctors about it, because it would go away and come back with no obvious correlation to anything else. Finally when I fell out of bed from pain and couldn't stand up someone decided to take a peek. I feel for you, I wouldn't let this go though you may also be the victim of skepticism. Worms aren't particularly painful unless they get so numerous as to cause a blockage. Tapeworms are not affected by Ivermectin but fendbendazole is used for tapeworm in cats and a related -azole for humans. Giardia is in all the wild waterways and could cause crampy diarrhea periodically with no apparent problems between. Some drugs for that: https://www.drugs.com/condition/giardiasis.html You can get metronidazole for birds otc. However, if you think you have parasites, you need a fresh, wet, stool sample and someone who knows how to look through a microscope. It is not a big deal to rule out most parasites and if you can then you can go after other causes.
I've given birth four times and Giardia was the worst pain I've ever had in my life. Nothing like breaks inbetween bouts - it was constant, solid, excruciating pain. Only time in my life I seriously talked to God about taking me home!
I'm glad you prevailed! :D
That's what makes me so anxious about having to see a doctor, and why I've asked for the prayers that hopefully I'll get a good egg when I do see one. I've had the same experiences before with doctors (have a problem, just get a bunch of guesswork, expensive bills to follow even with health insurance, nothing really fixed or treated). I've done better at managing my illnesses naturally on my own but this one recently has me stumped.
Be systematic, is my advice. Parasites should be pretty easy to rule out. You haven't really said why you think that. Make notes of your symptoms and see if there is a relationship with food, activity, anything. Where the pain starts; how it progresses; what affects it, like eating, lying in a certain position, pushing on it, stretching, heat, cold, all those things are helpful clues. Most problems have typical signs and symptoms but as many also have the same symptoms as something else, the doctor is going to proceed in a statistical way with what seems like the most likely cause.
I'm pretty certain that its a bacterial infection because I had a reccurring infection years ago that landed me in the doctors office a few times*. The symptoms I've got now resemble how I felt with that infection, just in a different location. I'm not ruling out parasites since I spend a lot of time gardening and working with animals.
*After being brushed off by a few doctors about it, I was finally lucky enough to get a foreign doctor who recognized what I was dealing with and gave me holistic advice on how to prevent the infection from happening again. I'm usually pretty on top of it, but sometimes life happens and my health gets away from me.
You could have diverticulosis. It happens with age and not much you can do about it except avoid things like nuts that could get lodged in the pockets and cause local irritation and infection, and avoid becoming constipated or trying to hold back gas.
I’m not a doctor so this is obviously not medical advice… but I’m well-versed in hillbilly home remedies😂 a family member swore by rubbing a little bit of castor oil on his acute appendix pain. I guess it’s an Edgar Casey remedy? When I was uninsured, I found a lot of home remedies on earth clinic. Again, not medical advice. I’m praying for a quick recovery from your pain.
I can attest to castor oil being a great anti-bacterial salve. I've also gotten into home and natural remedies since allopathic doctors have a tendency to 1) miss the problem or 2) find the problem and then attempt to use jackhammers when what the patient needs is a piano tuner, lol.
I will pray for you. The Lord comes through in surprising ways. Don't hesitate to pray yourself, either. Bless you.
Thank you so much. I have been praying, it just feels like there is something I'm missing right now.
I’d go to the closest immediate care for bloodwork. They can do so much there these days. I think they keep lots of folks out of the hospital.
This is gonna sound off-the-wall and it only happened to me once, but I once went to the hospital with severe stomach pain... I thought something was really wrong. Turns out my body was acutely reacting to the fact that a family member was trying to borrow all the money I had. Bizarre.
sending love wisdom and health your way! praying for you fren
Thank you, and I agree. I am not trying to downplay it, but I'm also worried that my anxiety right now is causing me to jump to scary diagnoses instead of using common sense.
I am self employed, I'm in this annoying gray area where I don't usually qualify for medicaid or insurance, but I've been looking at a couple of Christian health sharing services to join when I'm better on my feet (hopefully ASAP). It's scary. That's why I feel like I need the prayers right now.
Thank you so much for understanding and for the advice and prayers. I really appreciate it.
Lol, I know, I know. I really need the thoughts and prayers, the rest just came out because it just did.
