Interesting. I had Covid in June (no vax) and stuck it out at home. I think the fever may have reached 103 F. I've had fevers up to 104 F in past flu episodes; I manage to get through them and learn that's where I was, after the fact. Not a good condition to be in. I dragged my sorry ass into an urgent care clinic to get tested (positive for Covid-19) and seen by a doctor.
The doc was willing to prescribe me an anti-viral drug. "Like what?" I asked. "Oh, Paxlovid or Molnupiravir." (Say what?) "Can you write those out for me and give me some descriptive information?" "Oh, very well, but I can write you a prescription right away." Hmmm. I took home the release information to see what she had provided me. Just the names of the drugs, no other information. I had to look them up. They both are experimental under EUA. So, this bitch doctor (she was a woman) was willing to prescribe for me at the drop of a hat either of two experimental drugs WITHOUT ANY STEP TOWARD OBTAINING INFORMED CONSENT. Totally unprofessional. I would call it malpractice.
But from my pre-existing heart condition, I was also taking Pradaxa, the Cadillac of blood thinners (at least on price), and got through with coughing, yes, but also hawking up the usual grey-green crud, which took over a week to clear. What interested me about Biden's case was the prescription of an inhaler with Albuterol. Just a quick look indicates it is used for asthma as a bronchospasm inhibitor. In other words, to stop him from coughing. I don't see that as a friendly move, if the purpose of coughing is to clear the lungs of crud. That is where an expectorant would have made sense. But I am no doctor...(as are some doctors).
Playing with words. Covid is a flu, so peddle your papers elsewhere. I tested positive, for what that is worth. We kept up our zinc and vitamin D, finally got some quercetin.
I use albuterol as needed for asthma. When my chest gets tight, a puff of albuterol makes it so I can cough and it loosens my restriction. However the restriction is not due to a virus but possibly a strong smell that triggered the asthma attack or around too many allergens.
Oh, they will leak anything they believe will result in good PR. There's no telling if what they release is even true; the actual course of treatment could be something else (ivermectin?). Biden's case is shown to be a "no big deal." Public concern is on the down-low. The last thing they need (on top of everything else) is for the public to have jitters over Biden's corporeal health---as well as his cognitive health.
Albuterol is a bronchodilator which relaxes and opens air passages to the lungs to make breathing easier.
When my husband had the real CV-19 back in spring of 2021 (after lunching with his freshly vaccinated viral shedding sister who was visiting from out of town), we asked the urgent care to prescribe him Albuterol. Upon taking it, his cough worsened, triggering even more coughing spasms which were relentless, making it impossible for him to sleep or even eat a whole meal without having a debilitating coughing attack.
For the record, upon his first symptom (headache and fever) I started him on a 5-day regimen of Ivermectin + vitamins. Now, things got better but not completely. (Back then we didn't know what we do now - that is - you can take double or triple the dose and take it for longer than 5 days.)
So, after a few days being off the ivermectin he began coughing and fevering again and after 9 days of trying everything at home, his oxygen began dropping below 90, so I had no choice but go to the hospital.
As soon as they put him on oxygen, a blood thinner and a steroid, his lungs relaxed and he had no more coughing. He said it was almost immediate.

You didn't have covid!.. you had the flu

You mean the test that the inventor of said it can't test for covid 19.
They really didn't say. But there was no arguing with the doctor. One would have better luck discussing Marcel Proust with a turtle.

If you’re coughing up green grey things you are not healthy. How dirty is the air in your house? Ever had your HVAC vents cleaned?
Whenever I've had a bad flu, that's the sputum. But I will agree that my ducts need to be cleaned.

Thanks for the clarification.
