In this first survey, I conclude that it’s reasonable (at the very least) to cast extreme doubt on union and education advocacy organizations claiming that pay and parental harassment are the primary issues for teachers leaving.
When salary is listed as a contributing factor, 93.35% of Midwestern teachers claim that their resignation is due to student behavior and progressive political activity required in their classrooms.
My wife was a 1st grade teacher for 17 years in 2 different states. She left +/- 10 years ago, due to common core. They threatened her to "comply" or she would no longer be found highly effective. That one word, "comply", caused her to resign. She was not shocked by the move to CRT. She putz around doing different crap for 7 years, and is now teaching at a home school co-op that cannot keep up with the demand due to the amount of people leaving the corrupt public school system.
As the worm turns.
I have a family member who is a school principal. Went to a family dinner the other day, and she was talking about how teachers are quitting left and right. She even asked me if I’m interested in teaching bc she could use me- I’ve always worked in banking- have zero experience and she knows that. I told her I can’t afford the $20,000 per year pay cut. They are hard up for people
In the mid 90's when I put my kids in public school from homeschooling, I become a sub in our school district, predominately in the 3 schools my kids were in. I became a permanent sub later at the middle school. I really enjoyed getting to know the teachers...wonderful people. The kids for the most part were wonderful too. Schools have changed a great deal since I went in the 50's or from when I subbed in the 90's. I am not sure I could do that again in today's world.
Midwestern teachers have different opinions than coastal teachers.
School boards are where the fight is. Every parents should be involved and attending every meeting.
If enough leave, their system collapses.
Kids then get real education outside that system.
At some point you gotta put the blame on the parents for even deciding to put their kids through that bullshit.
Then they spend time with their kids when they are home and make sure their children learn basic values from them and not corrupt teachers and random people on Youtube.
Parents should raise their kids. If they don't, others will raise them for you. Are you really just gonna make an excuse and blame the system for your kid turning out rotten?
