The Martyrs of Córdoba were forty-eight Christian martyrs who were executed under the rule of Muslim administration in Al-Andalus (name of the Iberian Peninsula under the Islamic rule).

Nathalie and her family had to feign being muslims until they met a naked Christian being whipped, tied to a donkey. From then on the began to openly follow their Faith and got decapitated by the oppressor on July 27th, 852.
