I'm working on creating content about Trump and the state of the world today. However, I feel like my videos and articles are not up to par and that only a few people will like them. How can I make my content go viral and loved by a wider audience? What does my content need for you to like it?

You are going at it with the wrong mindset. Don't try to go viral
That's very vague and difficult to answer. What kind of content are we talking about? Comedy bits, political commentary...? Honestly, have some confidence in yourself and just put your "content" out there. Try different things and see what's popular that way.
All I care about is the truth and the proof of the truth. All the other nonsense (long, fancy intros, flashing lights, ridiculous thumb nails, clickbait titles) --- will turn me off and keep me away. Good luck!
Be truthful, concise, and consistent in your commentary. Also, don't try to present yourself as an authority on a subject you may not know everything about - we are all passionate about different subjects, but no one knows everything about everything. Some YouTubers want to come across as if they do.
Memes work well. One idea at a time! Look at the difference between a professional political cartoonist like Branco versus Garrison. While we all like Garrison his Political cartoons take too long to digest and will not do well with Normies. Branco is always just one idea, very simple and makes a more profound statement. Try keeping your ideas real simple and one at a time. It is easy to keep adding content because there are usually so many ideas floating around in our heads.
And for goodness sakes do NOT add a loooooong intro with all the bells and whistles.
