H.R.6552, the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2022 just went up for vote in Congress on Tuesday. It passed with all Democrats and all but 20 Republicans voting yae. Among the 20 who voted nay were Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz.
This doesn't make sense to me. If the bill does what the name suggests then why would they vote against it? Why would every democrat vote for it? There has to be something hidden here I am missing.
Can you guys help me find it?
Seems like you need to ask Matt Gaetz and Marjorious MTG about this.
Democrats frequently give their legislation misleading names.
Such as the Adoption and Safe Families Act, which was a Clinton concoction aimed at offering Federal cash incentives to state CPS (up to $8000 per child) to rip children away from their families and put them in foster homes.
And also to ensure that those who see through it and hence vote against it are subsequently seen as 'mean and nasty' to the headline-skimming public.
"affordable care act"
affordable care act for expensive healthcare, patriot act to spy on patriots, DHS to rape the homeland. These people are full on poets.

Look at Joe Manchin's new bill.
Inflation Reduction Act of 2022
This is the Green New Deal and creates a minimum of a half Trillion in New taxes for Americans.
We all know this will do Nothing for inflation. To stop inflation, you need to Stop Spending! This only increases the spending. And it increases the tax burden. More inflation and more taxes.
But they call it the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. All total bullsh!t.
All the while, giving themselves pay raises too. These people are sick....
Well, they hadn't gotten a cost of living pay raise in over a month.
Oh you right.... How silly of me to forget that!
Legit way to go. Let's seenif they'll explain it.
