The intermittent fasting is what body builders and some folks are doing. i think it probably works well too, but I don't know enough about how quickly the cells can switch from sugar to fat. I naturally gravitate to intermittent for daily living. I eat one meal a day. It is tough not to snack though. If you have any sugar, your body will burn that. If you eat more sugar than you burn in a day, it will convert to fat. You still need nutrients, vitamins and minerals. I augment with vitamins/minerals and greens (vegetables and chloroform containing powders). It seems to work for me and I am used to having an empty stomach most every day.
I usually only eat one meal a day (at night), and i've noticed I lost a lot of weight doing this. So I guess it's switching to burning fat during the 24 hour fast. Unfortunately i also lose muscle too
