The expression, there is no such thing as bad publicity alludes to the idea that even if it sensationalizes you, people know who you are and it raises your profile.
BUT I was pointing out that this is in fact, not true in all cases. It's true if your aim is to grow off of notoriety, BUT, if you are a shyster, then in fact negative publicity IS bad, because it exposes you.
Summary: the old saying is relevant or carries some effect in some situations, but in fact is not true.
I don't think PG IS happy that he's being exposed. He'd LOVE to get more publicity, but NOT if it ends up exposing and collapsing his grift.
