I would not want to be hit with 00 buckshot, it has 9 /33 caliber balls, energy 1547ft.#'s a 45 caliber hand gun produces 450 ft. #'s. So the shotgun will make at 12' a 4" pattern at 30' 10" pattern, so technically at 12' your arm is going absolutely worthless. A comparison, a 9mm hand you'd have to shot 9 times in order to make a 4" pattern.
