If the harm happen in one district how could another district have standing to even bring it to trail much less appeal to a different state supreme court? I thought each state had but one state supreme court, not multiple district like federal district courts.
I was of the impression it would go State Supreme court, Federal district court, then SCOTUS.
But I'm the first to admit it's a uneducated guess at best.
Thanks for the response, I'll have to dig, I still don't really understand the process.
But this sounded big if a state supreme court claims voting fraud invalidated elections regardless of scale and illegitimizes sitting government.
I am not a lawyer, though my understanding is that if a state like NV or CA created an opposing precedent, that is when it could go to the national Supreme Court. Though I need to dig in some more, it was about 20 years ago a Federal Annormey taught me this. They even were disturbed that they were considered British nobility as the title Esquire was inferred on them.
I would assume another Supreme Court district would need to give a competing ruling for it to go the the 9 justices on the SCOTUS.
Though I am not a lawyer & this was what I was told over a decade ago when asking about other rulings in conservative districts.
