If I'm not mistaken, which I very well could be, the corn on the left looks like white sweet corn, and the corn on the right looks like silage corn (for animal feed).
Ah, I should read comments first, but I am glad to see someone else noticed the difference.
Also why not put it next to a ripe ear of corn from this year since earlier plantings are fully developed at this point instead of one from last year? Makes no sense so must have alternative meaning.
Agreed. I just haven't been able to figure out what that alternative meaning is yet.
Depends on your environment. Around here corn still needs like 2 weeks.
Kek 2 weeks
Yeah makes sense, Iām in New England and first ripe stuff came 2 weeks ago
There are no matured ears of corn in Iowa right now. Texas yes, Iowa no.
Interesting we have had ripe for 2 weeks now in New England
It could simply be a farming thing, warning of a less productive harvest expected this year. But yeah they look like different types of corn (white vs yellow)
Yes, this
You're correct ... I'm from Jersey I've grown a lot of corn ,, Came on here to say the same thing, the yellow ear is not for human consumption , no way no how , it's horse corn!
Dent corn.
Yeah, sweet vs dent.. I was wondering, where does he have access to said corn cobs?
