I don't know anything, but it might be noteworthy that Trump has had three people relatively close to him "die" in the last 26 days. (Abe, then Ivana, now this congresswoman who I hear was a big time maga)

Ok so I can't get the screenshots to upload but according to Flag code drunk Nancy cannot order the flags to be flown at half mast. But according to the article her staffers said she had ordered the flags to be lowered to half mast.
Probably nobody in her orbit willing to call her out on the lack of that specific authority.
Although, she very well may be the person pulling the strings in the Brandon Administration. She was definitely front and center on day 1 holding a fat stack of prewritten executive orders for him to sign...

According to the Flag Code, only the President of the United States, your state's Governor, and the Mayor of the District of Columbia can order the US flag lowered to half-staff. If everyone were to half-staff the US flag at will, the symbolic value of that honor would be lost.
