Well, I guess since your so honest, I will be. I've been around the rooms around 18 yrs. Had 6 coins in a row, even those coveted black n gold key chains. Yea... then, well life again. I didn't go down the same path, bit went to drinking. Only a few years ago. I have all the tools, books, etc.. ugh, just can't seem to quite get to the, I want to pick up a white chip part! Ya know? God bless you! It's not easy, but , it I worth it my fren.
I came into a new chapter of my life wether I liked it or not, my grandpa I took care of for 11 years passed, and I knew if I turned to drinking to handle that it would probably break me and finish destroying my life
I definitely know the game of quitting just to be roped back in.. multiple hospitalizations for pancreatitis couldn't even get me to quit
When I moved from grandpa's I ended up just a 3 minute drive from AA meetings so I didn't waste no time- got here on a Thursday and began attending the meetings on Friday and been going every day since. Also went to church for the first time that Sunday, so between the two they've helped alot
Do 90 in 90 as they suggest. It's so important! And I'm proud of you for knowing you needed to finally do it. I've been to aa Bill n Bob. I prefer na myself. But I'll take either. We do what we have to, to save ourselves. How I look at it. Personally I think everyone needs a 12 step program. It really changed me and opened my eyes. Message me if you want to. And congrats 30 days is Huge!!!!
Ps.. remember since your new. You have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason! Which means... listen , listen, listen. Lol. But true my sponsor always told me that. Listen to the old timers, they have the best knowledge. My best guy friend has 35 yrs. Dumb as a box of rocks in life, but when comes to recovery, oh man! He's got this! You've got this!
