See, I'm reading it a little different too. Look at the last raids where CNN was on scene. They didn't know this time. So in Chris's head if CNN didn't know about it, then "their team" wasn't responsible for it. So if their team isn't responsible, he smells a trap and he's trying to sound the alarm. If we see others in the DS question this raid, then that'll seal it for me.

He doesn't have to spell it out in actual English. I mean, that's what Comms is for after all. Conveying messages within innocuous sounding articles/tweets. That's my biggest headscratcher here, how forthright Cuomo and NoName's hesitancy is. You don't get that in English often.
