As a grandmother, I struggle with the direction of education. Not all families are capable of alternative solutions, and all children deserve quality education. Unfortunately I don’t see anything happening within the next couple of generations but my personal preference would be to fix the current public school system going back to the basics of reading writing and arithmetic while throwing in basic life skills like balancing a checkbook, understanding the importance of credit and what it means to your pocketbook over a lifetime, etc.
I do agree that it takes radical change for things to be fixed, I just wish there was an easier solution than forcing families into alternatives which will leave many kids behind and still produce generations of brainwashed kids that will become adults someday.

Teach your kids to teach themselves.
