Safe, fast, cheap global movement of goods will soon be only a memory, and at the same time, the world's demographics will continue aging -- with ever-fewer young people to fill workforces and pay taxes (along with other demographic problems). That combination, plus other factors, will disrupt every nation -- a process which has already begun.
America will be better positioned than almost anywhere else -- as it has been for the past 150 years or more -- but the disruptions will still be serious even there.
The End of the World is Just the Beginning: Mapping the Collapse of Globalization by Peter Zeihan
Interested in an intelligent, well-sourced look at the world as different from the mainstream view as Q is from CRT? Zeihan, also author of The Accidental Superpower: The Next Generation of American Preeminence and the Coming Global Disorder, is an author you shouldn't miss.
From the book's Amazon page:
2019 was the last great year for the world economy. For generations, everything has been getting faster, better, and cheaper. Finally, we reached the point that almost anything you could ever want could be sent to your home within days - even hours - of when you decided you wanted it. America made that happen, but now America has lost interest in keeping it going. Globe-spanning supply chains are only possible with the protection of the U.S. Navy. The American dollar underpins internationalized energy and financial markets. Complex, innovative industries were created to satisfy American consumers. American security policy forced warring nations to lay down their arms. Billions of people have been fed and educated as the American-led trade system spread across the globe. All of this was artificial. All this was temporary. All this is ending.
You seem to be under the delusion that evil is going to cease to exist, that the same ring of power that has heretofore been the great corrupting agency will effect a different condition in the hearts of men, that human nature itself is magically going back to Eden. I'd like to think you're right, but never seen yet a basket of fruit un-rot, and thus believe mankind will continue to decay until Jesus comes back to claim his faithful.
Tolkien v. Power
You will see this, and you will understand why this process had to be this painful. If this was just another power shift without fundamentally altering the dynamic of Evil vs Good, Trump could have cut a deal, put away most of DC into prison, ruled over for a few decades as a dynasty.
The truth is, most people, contrary to what it has been portrayed time and again by all the books, art, movies etc, just want to get along with their lives. It takes great effort and huge amount of resources to wage wars. These resources come in the form of "magic money".
Think about this for a moment as an example. Clinton started grooming the islamic terrorists in 90s, and Bush nurtured it and Obama fertilised it. For two decades every resource was thrown towards it, to create hate in the hearts of people and for brainwashing them and for training them and for arming them, and yet after Trump came , in just under 2 years all that was history. Why was this? Because people dont want to live with hate in their hearts.
We have rarely ever glimpsed at humanity which was not being actively weaponised against itself for the gains of the powerful. We are at the cusp of a moment where its possible to see that. I sure hope we do.
I am with you. People left to their own devices will not rampage and kill each other. It is in our hearts to love one another. All the wars were started by evil people hungry for POWER, more POWER still, it feeds upon itself.
As long as there is a power group unanswerable to the people that group will always agitate for yet more power. Our only hope to to behead the D.C. behemoth and force government back to a state level where it is answerable to the people. Those that represent the people must once again fear the people. Our king no longer fears the peasants.
Another thing to remember in future. If we ever find ourselves thinking, or hear someone else saying "Its best if we don't tell this to the people, for their own good" - whether it be something like Aliens, or an impending asteroid, or the fact that our country is bankrupt - does not matter what it is - if its true, then people have a right to know it. No one has the right to decide what people can handle or not.
Darkness nurtures fear, and fear enables evil.
That's the way I see it too.
