I agree that there is a lot wrong with Disney.
BUT... where do you draw the line between kids entertainment and some subtle adult humor woven into it so as to appeal to the parents who take their kids to see the movies? That's always been how I've seen it. It goes over the kids heads, but the parents chuckle and don't mind having spent a Saturday afternoon at a theater with a bunch of other parents and kids... because seeing a movie can be fun.
To me, the evolution of Disney towards wokeness and the influence it has on children is alarming--similar in some ways to how SNL used to be really funny for the sake of funny back in the 70's and 80's, a bit in the 90's... then turned into a tool of the left and lost its appeal.
The Disney movie "Cars" came out in 2006. The Character "Lightning McQueen" was the little red speedster race car in the movie.
The logo on the hood of the race car actually WAS this same logo you see here. It's awkward that they used that for a child's costume. However, it's actually the logo on the race car in the animated movie.
Disney was always perverted... so there's that aspect as well.
We just didn't see it then - but we do now. The mask is off.
Can't think of anything perverted about the movie. Ive seen it more than most.

Someone was selling this at work (own child probably grown out of it). Is it as disgusting as I’m reading it to be?

Nope. Don’t have kids and not in my area of interest. That’s why I’m wondering about a child’s costume with reference to rear bumper lube.
You are willing to go through all this effort here instead of just searching? Rusteze in the cars world is a bumper lubricant. Mater gets it for his bumper, and rusteze is a sponsor for one of the cars, so it's a prevalent piece of the show.
Is it an unnessecary part of the costume? Yeah I guess so. Is it nefarious? Highly doubt it
