Jesus was pretty tough on those who were fakes, hypocrites and those who broke God's laws. He called them vipers and workers of iniquity and other things. He was uncompromising. Would that qualify as being a dick in your eyes?

Yes I agree, but there can be no compromise with truth - Biblical truth. Anything else is muddying the waters. If churches had not gone into compromise and pushed the soft gospel of "all you need is love", we would not be in this mess today.
