I know Q said "gold shall end the Fed" but does that mean we should all be buying and trading in precious metals right now? I think the economy is in for hard times ahead - what should we be doing to prepare? Will all the sleeping normies be screwed?

Food and Hand tools.
Ones that don't require electricity are best.
If the lights go out, no one's gonna have a computer to look up the true value of your gold coins.
You can't buy bread with gold or bitcoin and get your value.
But you can make a crate, knit a bag, or trade some mason jars for canning.
The only thing you can truly own is what you can hold in your hands and use without some overbearing system giving value to things.
Paper rectangles. Shiny coins. Sticks of silicone.
Useless when it comes to a life or death situation.
Well, maybe you can burn the paper rectangles and use them to wipe your ass... Even then, I bet the fumes they give off aren't good for your lungs.
Edit:
Oh, and your brain.
What you learn today is what you know tomorrow.
The Internet may not always be there for you to look crap up.
Priority one - buy lots of shelf stable foods.
Agreed. I guess I'm wondering if people think it's prudent to keep lots of money in savings or spend like it's now or never?
You mean you didn’t buy a $5k generator on credit?
All kidding aside, that’s what I did. I’ve been saving cash and maxing out my credit cards instead. Interest? Who cares, this shit will be over in 2 years, one way or another.
Food, source of fuel for heating, solar device charger, drinking water @ 1 gal/person per day, medicines you take, first aid kit, batteries.
Buy physical gold and silver. I like jmbullion.com who accepts Bitcoin.
Real estate should be fine unless the world blows up. Then who cares?
I've been wondering about this too, especially since there are a lot of South Dakota connections with Q.
and SD & Mt. Rushmore/Black Hills (full of Gold✨️) was on the famous George Magazine cover

also thought it was interesting that the land looks buried & Lincoln is covered; kind of reminds me of the mudflood stories, but not sure what it means...

Physical Gold and Silver are money. When the SHTF it will come down to those who have money and those who don't.
When the dollar dies there will come a time when we won't be able to buy money [Silver and Gold]. Get it while you still can!
It seems to me that rising precious metals would benefit banks more than people. Unless I missed something I think normies will be screwed like they usually are. There is a good case for having an emergency fund of 1 year of expenses in savings/cash. Harder to be coerced into experimental medical treatments that way. Of course, pre-buying essentials like food works too.
There has been a new development in finance this decade, the GoldBack. Basically plastic banknotes that contain a small but precise amount of gold. Primarily intended as a local currency in select states. So you might be able to transact in gold if you want. Because even $200 worth of silver is pretty frickin' heavy.
There is also the possibility that the supply of precious metals has been intentionally restricted to maintain high prices. Or new developments like asteroid mining. So keep that in mind and don't put a huge amount of your money in PMs.
