I was blessed to have graduated in 1980 so I was not subjected to this shit. We did have our own version of it though. The United Natuons ha da reading program called SRA (Scolastic reading Achievement ) I think it stood for.
System of color coded reading cards that you were supposed to work through. Anyone remember those.

When you talk about infiltration, this was one of the first institutions that was fully occupied. In order to clean this out, the whole diseased thing needs to be dumped.

Parents weren't ready - they didn't understand the gravity of the situation yet. We The People need the support to rebuild from most of the population. Local school boards will be vital to the rebuild - they were rotten with extreme leftists. What do you think the new local schools would have looked like?
Maybe we are talking past each other, but why does that matter? We The People do have support of most of the population. Rebuilding local school boards and eliminating the DOE are two separate issues - we may not have the politics winds in our favor to do the latter for quite a while. It was a (rare) error by DJT not to so when we had control over all three branches of government.

Had to show the people just how bad they were. If he just went ahead and axed any of these ds letter agencies, the push back would have been enormous. Now when he takes the reins again and starts dropping all the letter agencies, people will know why it was done.

Then as the Dept. of Education was populated by bureaucrats, it too became full on leftist and the natural partner of commies with institutionalized programs meant to re-write history, deploy the ideologies of racism, social justice, equity, common core, and other forms of indoctrination. The net effect was a total dumbing down of students. Third world countries had better educated students taking a majority of slots in our elite schools. Now, I don't even think we can salvage public education in it's current model. After 5 generations of bad teachers teaching students who themselves become teachers, it's like making a copy on a bad copier, then copying that and so on until the document is worthless and unreadable. That's today's students in far too many schools. The product of 5 generations of progressives (Marxists) leaves nothing of value. The kids can't think, can't write, can't read, can't work through simple math. It's a travesty,
There is something else about the general population and IQ that has continually had a direct and correlated effect sinde that time that should be acknowledged here.
Education is NOT a federal responsibility.
