I’m not sure what they think they’re going to find. Can’t all those documents be scanned and kept in his SCIF at Mar-a-Lago? It’s so much easier to move things out of a place like that digitally. All it would take is one or two hard drives - and you could make as many copies did you want, and keep them in multiple locations. I think the papers are just the hardcopies, and bait.
Perhaps they hope to videotape Trump, or one of his staff, removing things, so that later they can charge him with "obstruction of justice".
