September 11th has always been a day of sadness for Orthodoxy. It is the day of the beheading of John the Baptist. A very solemn day. When 9/11 occurred, I was at the cemetery of the Holy Trinity Monastery, where we were commemorating that event. People came rushing up from the cathedral and told us the WT Tower had been hit by a plane. You know the rest. More death and destruction. Satan knows how to pick his dates very well.
Lends more credence to the idea that it is also Jesus' birthday.
It does.
I agree.
Thanks for sharing your story & sharing that factoid about John the Baptist, I didn’t know that. North of Dallas Church was destroyed on 911, near Ground Zero.

I would LOVE a win on this day. I’m praying for a miracle because things seem dire for Western civilization.
