Astolfo always comes across more of a non-offensive caricature of a trap.
Also, technically Astolfo isn't trans or a different "gender identity" either; he knows he's a boy. He just wears that shit. Never denies being a boy either.
Zombie Land Saga I wasn't aware of any gender related shenanigans, but I haven't seen it (technically not Apocrypha or anything else beyond Zero and Stay Night either in that franchise)
Anime doesn't cause these issues. The media, government and teachers cause these issues. Allowing ourselves to be distracted and add additional wedges based on enthusiasm or hobbies that others don't share is a big distraction.
Woodworking isn't woke because someone made a wooden block with the words "I'm trans". Art just has a higher number of people who end up being tolerant or woke in the end, because they were bullied or cast out or separate themselves from reality to pursue their dreams in art. They don't see the effects happening around them because they'd rather shut themselves away from the stress.
Which sometimes seems like it'd be nice, if I'm not gonna lie. The stress gets oppressive.
Been watching one piece as of late for the first time. There's a one world government that tries to control and oppress the masses as well as hiding history for the benefit of the government, and also the celestial dragons (elites) sell and buy people as slaves. Sound familiar? Anime that I watch definitely isn't woke and honestly I've seen a lot of it and it's got some pretty good moral themes in them for the most part. Don't know why it's on this list...
I've seen all of Fate/Apocrypha. I was shocked to see Astolfo wasn't just a meme--he actually did some really awesome and badass stuff. Maybe he just rubs me the wrong way.
I'd ask why you put anime in there, but Fate/Apocrypha and Zombie Land Saga exist.
Woke.

Japanese anime studios are also one of the major players pushing back on feminism. Japan is one of the more anti woke cultures in general.
Addendum apparently iPhone autocorrect translated “anti woke” as “anti women” Nasty trick from crapple.

Admittedly I'm second-guessing my comment there.
