They make unions because they are working in a hive.
The individual has no power in a hive.
So they think forming a union is their way to unite against the man.
They haven't learned that unions never help the workers. They didn't help them during the lockdowns, they didn't help them during vax mandates and they aren't going to help them now.
Without unions we would still have little children working in factories and mines! Unions went south when organized crime and politicians bought the leadership. They could still be an asset but would have ot overhauled.
Even blue collar workers need to learn basic math so that they can come to understand the unions are not their friends.
I do have one redeeming story. Simply put a crane mechanic whose job was very physical, one 4th of July was dumb enough to blow off most of his dominant hand with a sizable boomer. Now, no longer able to do that job, the union trained him to become a crane operator. Scary how dumb one can be and still be considered responsible enough to operate a crane.
That's like saying all politicians are bad. It's mostly true, but not entirely. The Polish Solidarity union is a recent example of a good union.
Private sector unions provide a check against vicious monopolistic capitalists, of which there are many examples. And even guilds have value, in terms of guaranteeing a threshold level of expertise. But I'll concede that unions, like every other institution in our country, have been infiltrated and corrupted.
Public-sector unions, on the other hand, are just bad. They only strategically pit a group of workers against the public. I can't see any value to those.
Nah, unions got their start by protecting human dignity against robber barons and crony capitalists. They've been subverted today, co-opted into communism (and the controlled op of crony capitalism) as you say, but they have their place, and reasons for existing. Research Matewan and the Homestead Strike if you want to learn about it. British coal and cotton workers, too.
Unions use to protect the worker from bad things happening to them. Now unions protect workers from doing bad things to others.
This happened when political operatives took over the unions. They use to serve purpose, now they dont.
Many are starting to understand that. The unions initial concept is nothing like what it was intended to be. I'm noticing that here anyway.
♪ Once upon a time
The idea was good
If only they'd done
What they said they would
Things gettin' no better
They's makin' it worse
Seems the labor movement
Got the Mafia curse
You know we gotta Stick Together
Don't be no fool
Don't be no dope
You know common sense
Is your only hope
When the union tells you
It's time to strike
Tell the motherfucker
To take a hike
You know we gotta Stick Together ♫

As they say, unions were designed for crybabies and retards.

You have anger problems and don't know about the origin of labor unions. The international is corrupt no doubt but it did not start out like that!
Yes they are
