The selection of Raymond Dearie, a former federal prosecutor who for years served as the chief judge of the federal court based in Brooklyn, came after both the Justice Department and Trump’s lawyers made clear that they would be satisfied with his appointment as a so-called special master.

Automatically concerning that the DoJ would be satisfied with the same thing Trump would be, but hey.
"Satisfied" is Legal speak for the DOJ had no grounds to object to Dearie so they were forced to accept him.
Legal speak uses English words but those words do NOT mean the same thing as they do in normal speak English.
That's why people call it legalese. Not only is it using words that don't mean the same to us, they also use a dead language.
Possibly a good point, though I'm not sure legalese was the case in this specific point.
We all can hope though! Tired of this charade that the government is putting up.
