Came across a video on Rumble, which of course doesn't provide any sauce, but doing a quick Bing search provides one matching result which of course is the top result and appears to be by a "fact checker"

A trump island?
Something is out there they're trying to keep hush hush.
Trump Islands (66°02.19′S 65°57.53′WCoordinates: 66°02.19′S 65°57.53′W) is a small group of islands lying 4 nautical miles (7 km) southwest of Dodman Island, off the west coast of Graham Land. The islands were discovered and named by the British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE), 1934–37, under Rymill.
Rothschild Island is a black rugged island 39 kilometres (24 mi) long, mainly ice covered but surmounted by prominent peaks of Desko Mountains in Antarctica, 8 kilometres (5 mi) west of the north part of Alexander Island in the north entrance to Wilkins Sound.
The island was sighted from a distance by the French Antarctic Expedition (c1908-1910), and named by Charcot in honour of Baron Edouard de Rothschild (1868-1949), head of the Rothschild banking family of France and president of de Rothschild Frères.
In the subsequent explorations of the area by the British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE) (c1934-1937) the feature was believed to be a mountain connected to Alexander Island. Geologically this might be true—but it has not been proven by any means due to a lack of anything like a complete geological survey of the region.
However Rothschild Island's insularity was reaffirmed by the United States Antarctic Service (USAS, c1939-1941) who photographed and roughly mapped the island from the air.
Omicron Islands is a group of small islands and rocks which lie close southeast of Omega Island in the Melchior Islands, Palmer Archipelago. The name, derived from the 15th letter of the Greek alphabet, appears to have been first used on a 1946 Argentine government chart following surveys of these islands by Argentine expeditions in 1942 and 1943.
Delta Island is an island 1 kilometre (0.5 nmi) long, lying close southeast of Lambda Island and east of Alpha Island in the Melchior Islands, Palmer Archipelago. The name, derived from the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet, was probably given by Discovery Investigations personnel who roughly surveyed the island in 1927. The island was surveyed by Argentine expeditions in 1942, 1943 and 1948.
OMG!!!!! Putin's readying Russia for WWIII!!!!!!
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, I have Yandex bookmarked but keep forgetting it. I tried Brave but turned up nothing relevant in the top several results so I just went with what I'd found/posted.
Thanks for posting this AND for checking the veracity.
I have an acquaintance through work that spent time in Antarctica through work around 2015ish She is a brilliant engineer... can’t remember her specialty. I work for a major defense contractor.
Now that I know something is up with Antarctica.... I wonder what she was doing down there! She didn’t make a secret of it, there were all sorts of pictures on FB as she was preparing. I don’t recall anything during. I’m no longer on FB to go look.

TL:DR- Russia may be thinking about making a formal land, or mineral claim to parts of Antarctica, possibly violating treaty. But, no land claims have been made yet.
Hopefully that's not the case. I'd love to see some light shed on what's exactly going on in Antarctica but would hate to see it overrun by people raping, pillaging, and plundering potentially a "New World".
You guys are so credulous, you ruin your own credibility. If anything like this happened THERE WOULD BE SAUCE. No sauce? Nothing to feast on. Time to drop it for adult pursuits.
I provided sauce, an article discrediting it. That in itself is sauce, sauce doesn't have to support a story, refuting a story is sauce as well.
I think I can speak for the majority here when I say that anything being "fact checked" is a good indication it is in fact, fact.
