He defeated his Democratic rival William Jennings Bryan after a front porch campaign in which he advocated "sound money" (the gold standard unless altered by international agreement) and promised that high tariffs would restore prosperity.
Rapid economic growth marked McKinley's presidency. He promoted the 1897 Dingley Tariff to protect manufacturers and factory workers from foreign competition and in 1900 secured the passage of the Gold Standard Act.
McKinley defeated Bryan again in the 1900 presidential election in a campaign focused on imperialism, protectionism, and free silver.
His achievements were cut short when he was fatally shot on September 6, 1901, by Leon Czolgosz, an anarchist. McKinley died eight days later and was succeeded by Vice President Theodore Roosevelt.
From what I remember (and assuming what I read was accurate), the patsy was tried, convicted, and executed within 8 weeks of the shooting. When has our judicial system ever moved that fast? Did they have to kill him quick before he talked?
Do you realize that a lot of the founding fathers were Freemasons? According to someone I know who is a Freemason up here & goes to the Boston lodge, they still have the minutes of all the meetings going back centuries. According to him, the minutes of the meeting on December 16, 1773 say that they are going to adjourn early that night because some of the members have prior engagements, (12/16/1773 was the Boston Tea Party)
Yup, fully aware that most were Freemasons. America may have been founded by Catholic Spaniards & settled by English & Dutch Protestants but we have inherited a Pagan Masonic nation.
Benjamin Franklin for example, Freemason & he belonged to the Hellfire club & participated in orgies.
Yeah, I don’t idolize mere men like our founding fathers, as a matter of fact, I see their association with Masonry as a negative blithe on their reputation.

Other point of note, Roosevelt was a Freemason. Pence 1.0?

They didn't fuk around in the old days. That 8 weeks was probably on the long side.
Tariffs, Trump did the same thing.
And free silver? How would that work
He was talking about the Lone Ranger's horse. He had been captured and McKinley was running on the platform to "Free Silver". Hi-ho and away!
Lmao
