If you want more links, let me know, but this should get you started. These secret societies are the core of the cabal, and they hold tight to their symbols... and their satanic rituals.
All right, thanks for the substantial response. So the checkered pattern is a commonly used symbol by the freemasons and related societies.
That’s convincing enough to arouse suspicion regarding the OP.
But I’m far from convinced of any of the other stuff. Like whatever mental manipulation is alluded to (evidence please). Or that it’s used symbolically in pop culture to the degree the post implies.
The simpler a pattern, the more likely it is to come up independently of other associations. If you have a square grid (the simplest tiling of the plane), what is the simplest way to distinguish between all adjacent tiles? The checkerboard pattern.
I think the person who made the post you linked to got way over-excited about finding these occurrences. They point out a white-yellow tiling, for one. White and yellow hardly carries the same symbolism as white and black. There’s also a dress with a white-gray/gray-black pattern, that hardly fits the symbolic mold either. And the obviously chess-related examples could easily be just alluding to chess. I could go on about a few of the other “examples” too.
Also the comments sadden me. That people are actually scared of this pattern in benign environments. And also the endless spam. 3/10 I’ve read worse
You are at step one of your awakening. Keep digging on the masons, the Knights of Pythia, the Knights of Malta, Racine Wisconsin and the other secret societies.
Do you have any good sources for me to read? Barely-coherent stream of consciousness blog posts like the other guy linked two messages earlier just aren’t convincing for me. I need something that starts with evidence and reasoning before reaching unlikely conclusions.
This video about Freemasons is 5 1/2 hours long but it goes quick once it gets moving. It had me riveted to my seat and changed my view of the world as I know it.
I'll answer one of your questions with a couple of my own.

Why do the adjacent tiles need to be defined?
2). Since when do "Royalty", being that all their wealth is sourced from taking it from the masses, give a rat's ass about doing things in the simplest manner? They could have put any ornate pattern there they wanted because money is of no concern? Care to answer?
Because distinguishing between some squares but not others is more complicated, and distinguishing between zero adjacent squares is hardly a pattern at all. Let me rephrase: The checkerboard pattern is the simplest ruleset for coloring a square tiling aside from “every tile is the same color”, which makes it the simplest “interesting” rule for coloring squares.
The point of simple patterns is that they are very likely to result from laziness or lack of attention. If someone wants to do the bare minimum, they’ll either make use of or rediscover a simple pattern, such as the checkerboard. All I’m saying is, I’m not convinced that any of the checkerboards found in media are supposed to be secret society symbols. But, reinforcing what I said at the beginning, the fact that these world leaders gather over a potential symbol, one used in the same context as in secret societies, is pretty convincing that this in particular is actually symbolic usage of the pattern.
Can someone please actually explain what’s going on with the floor?
Is it a chess reference? A racing reference? Something else? Or are you referring to the room’s general layout?
