Stepped outside tonight.
The darkness is palpable. I spend a great deal of time outdoors and I’ve never experienced darkness like this.
Went to the barn, couldn’t even see my hand an inch from my face.
This way anywhere else in the world?

Sounds like you were in Joe Biden's brain for a minute.
That must have felt like an eternity in hell.
The only time I've experienced that was nearly 30 years ago while living on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, new moon and cloudy sky. Zero light pollution. Had to walk a long road home in the dark after work at a resort restaurant. That sensory deprivation of not being able to see your hand in front of your face is surreal to say the least. Memory of it has clearly stuck with me to this day.
Same here actually in the midwest...feels dark before you even see it. But it's the equinox
I experienced darkness like this in Pinon Canyon Colorado about 35 years ago. It is truly surreal.
lately, I have been stepping outside and looking at the stars and Jupiter a couple of times. See more stars than before. And I even got a look at the Starlink train and the ISS flying over two nights in a row. Can clearly see Arcturus change colors from green to red to white.
Very dark here is SW MO. Being quite overcast will do that. Cat stepped on my foot and scared the sh!t out of me.
Was dark like that in Zim.
I can help if you have cataracts!
