Hello, my brothers and sisters, sorry only two genders. I want to ask you a question about prayer. When you Pray do you Pray to God the father, in the name of Jesus, or do you pray to Jesus directly, by invoking his name?

To father in Jesus's name.
Jesus is the phone line to God
This is how I used to do it. But I think I will start to Invoke his name directly when praying. Jesus, my lord, my God. Yashua, Adonai, Elohim!
THIS
Always helpful to picture it in modern terms.
this
I pray as Jesus told us to pray. First, I exalt The Father (Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.) I acknowlege His promises / will (Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. I thank Him for the many blessings I receive (Give us this day our daily bread.) I beg His forgiveness and am reminded of how and when I am to forgive others (And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us). I ask for guidance in my life and protection from Satan and all things evil, (Lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil.) Finally, I profess my faith and belief in His power and glory (For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever)
Amen.
thank you! I don't like praying exactly the same way each time. I do thank him for all the good things in my life and ask him if I need anything, to grant it if he feels I need it. Always leaving it in his hands.
To both depending on what I’m praying about. I also speak to the Holy Spirit at times. Depends on which aspect of God I am wishing to address.
And I sign off each prayer with “in the name of the father, creator and sustainer of all, and in the name of the son, whose sacrifice cleanses me of my sins and grants me eternal life, and in the name of the Holy Spirit who guides me through this present darkness towards the holiness of the father, amen.” Or something similar to that. I’m not big on canned prayers and treat it more like a conversation.
Treat it more like a conversation" indeed!
Matthew 6:5-8 Jesus speaking..."red letters"....
Jesus instructs us to pray to the Father....
No research or analysis needed.
ask the father for anything in my name, but he also mentions, I am the same way God called himself when Moses asked God who he was.
That doesn't mean we pray to Him...,.,
Explicit instructions from Jesus on how to pray. "Pray to the Father".
If Jesus also voiced support for the Trinity, great. That doesn't mean that Jesus contradicted Himself.
Explicit instructions > inferences from statements made on another topic.
the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. He who always was. He holds the keys to life and death.
I open with praying to Heavenly Father and close with "In the name of Jesus Christ" Amen
Great question op and great answers.
Myself, I usually pray directly to God and in Jesus name. I sometimes pray to Jesus but always mindful of God’s personal sacrifice of his only son on our behalf. Sometimes I’ll ask for special guidance from the Holy Spirit but always through God.
I am also pondering this question. Leaning towards praying to my Father in Heaven, as if I were Jesus, because that's how my Father sees me now that I'm in Christ
To God in the name of Jesus.
He really don’t care what you call him as long as you call on him. Pray to Jesus, Worship God When i pray i always end in Jesus name i pray We all can just speak to him like a son or daughter because you are all children of God
Love it
God the father. It's my understanding that Jesus is God made flesh. Not sure about everything but big G God seems to be my north star.
