This has become a big issue where I live. Anytime a house goes up for sale that's not new construction/somewhat "affordable", it gets bought by immigrants immediately. Houses aren't even on the market a full day in the nicer neighborhoods. Since they tend to live together they're able to pool resources. And since they live off of social and welfare services and work under the table - they're able to save money much faster than many of us legal residents are.
Aren't H1B1's supposed to be temporary though? What happens when they go back? I 100% believe and agree with you - I'm just curious about the logistics.
I know several who have bought house. Don't know why the "temporary" aspect of their arrangement doesn't trouble them. Maybe they know something that I don't.

The entire west coast. East Indian and East Asian people come her on H1B1 visas from Big Tech and buy up all the property.
