They’re not really making true restitution. It sounds all nice and satisfactory but it’s just a facade, imho. My dad was told he shouldn’t expect much in the way of compensation other than more disability benefits maybe and care from the VA. He’s been using private insurance for a long time. He might end up going to the VA but it’s just.. it isn’t the Mayo Clinic or whatever. Anyway, for those who may not have the info- I’ll post it again since someone was taking about it this morning.
When I was talking about it this morning here on a different post, I was saying there are a lot of very toxic things the military get exposed to. So many. This is just one that got enough attention. I’d just love to know what will pop up in the future. We used to get covered in hydraulic fluid. So much me and buddies have hand stiffness now. What’s going on inside? What about all the hearing damage caused by faulty ear plugs? That lawsuit was going to amount to a few hundred bucks each if we wanted to join a class action suit. Wasn’t worth the paperwork. Meanwhile vets are killing themselves over it because tinnitus can cause you severe sleep problems, anxiety and depression. Or how about the water at Camp Pendleton that gave everyone heartburn? Or the mold visibly growing in barracks? I’ll shut up now. It’s just a crime how they threat the military and it’s been really bad since Obummer. It got better under Pres Trump- substantially better. But now..... the Afghanistan failure, forced jabs, woke Bs and cutbacks everywhere. It’s disgusting. Beyond disgusting. That’s nice they’re gonna pretend to compensate those who were impacted by Camp LeJeune’s toxic water.
People who join the military know what they’re getting into. Our grandparents’ generation wouldn’t have complained about a little discomfort. Just saying. They were ready to fight and die for their country. The “victims” at Lejeune are just entitled boomers complaining over a non issue.

The Camp LeJeune Justice Act was just signed into law in Aug 22 and victims have two years from the statute’s date of enactment to file suit. That’s why you’re seeing so many ads from attorneys on tv etc. https://www.militarytimes.com/opinion/commentary/2022/08/10/camp-lejeune-toxic-water-victims-families-are-now-closer-to-justice/ https://www.selectjustice.com/news/camp-lejeune/understanding-the-camp-lejeune-justice-act-of-2022

A bunch of lawyers are trying to get quick $$$ while the real victims might get chump change.

Soldiers being poisoned is a non issue? So your water should also be poisoned then too, right?

Imagine finding out you were stationed at several old military bases where these were detonated.
Sickening the evil done to people. There is no justice in this life.
Jan 2019 - Jan 2021 was not a fun time either.
