Why did they wait until restrictions are being lifted to speak up. Saying "the measures were not justified by science" after years of adhering to them is not courageous, it's cowardice. They're the tiny little dog barking at the big dog as it walks away.
The other part of the reason all these groups are suddenly turning anti-mandate relates to the piles of lawsuits growing. Their problem is that, while they had some laws they were citing, the process requires the agents to violate a group of other laws, ones that don't have caveats. Similar, police were rarely able to legitimately fine people over masks (and near complete failure, except those who paid upfront). From what I've read, most if not all, police stations are facing human rights complaints and/or lawsuits against officers and even police chiefs.
So, a portion of this asking things to end is self-serving.
It's hard to track down the data, especially for small claims lawsuits (where counters have the best success because average person defends themselves with "just following orders" and are precluded from lawyers).
The Canadian federal travel troll, for example, I'm aware that he's facing >350k in small claims lawsuits, personally, for violating people's rights (Bill of rights, not charter rights)

Air Canada was already the worst.

Great explanation of the underlying motive.

Was thinking the same. How were passengers who made the same argument treated by AC?
Exactly.
