I was wondering about the wind speed trend.
I thought the climatologist who shut down Don Lemonhead did say something about storms being more damaging overall. Don't think he talked wind speed per se.
Could be they are more damaging because there is more "stuff" to damage...
Back in the old days we didn't build a ton of stuff at the shoreline because we knew storms would wipe it out.
Also better ways of recording said damage and storm strength.
Yes. More stuff in harms way. There have been articles written about this.
