I prefer photo ID's and paper ballots with hand counting only. The use of an electronic fingerprint database for voting could lead to more rampant cheating since officials have your fingerprints on electronic file.
My solution presented above takes care of repeated voters and prevents illegal voters. No system will be perfect. But this method prevents fraud for sure.
This removes the anonymity of the secret vote. The mob uses known voting to rig union elections through intimidation. There’s a reason why the ballot is secret.
GREAT IDEA & NOT trying tobe a PITA...HOWEVER, it still requires a VOTER FINGERPRINT....AND that has too be on file!!!!!!
One can still cheat by registering, getting finger printed and still voting for the opposite party...
UNLESS, of course, as soon as the person is fingerprinted, their ballot is printed at the same time...BUT, THEIR FINGER PRINT HAS TOO BE ON FILE BEFORE GETTING A BALLOT!!!
Already on file. How do you think NCIC works. As a law enforcement officer I had access to the national database and that is what we used to confirm out of state warrants. You can be fingerprinted in Florida and that information is accessible to all law enforcement agencies across the nation.
No such thing. IRS targeting of conservatives tells you all you need to know. Does our current government preserve the privacy of the citizen ? No, and you know they don’t give a shit. This way could at least help us get the right people in office who then can respect our rights.
I rather everyone be able to look and confirm their vote has been counted properly. Less fraud that way. Especially if you can get a receipt for it. Would make audits way easier and faster. Less fraud
If you can confirm your vote, then I can confirm your vote. You’re not supposed to tie a ballot back to an individual, period. I’m not trying to be a dick but if you want to suggest a way to fix elections, at least keep it within the framework of the constitution.
E: you don’t even need to suggest a way to fix it. We just need to enforce the laws. Ballots aren’t supposed to be handed out like candy.
"oh, so you voted against me, huh? Let's send in the IRS"
Votes should be legal, but anonymous. Here in the Netherlands they have a big book of eligible voters based on SSN, you get an invitation in the mail, show up with your ID and if correct you get a ballot. I'm sure there's still fuckery going on there, as the same group has been getting elected for longer than I can think of while they put the country in ruins, but being "black bagged" is the alternative if voting isn't anonymous.
If you have a drivers license or ID. Or born in the United States and have a passport or naturalized citizenship They have it. Irrelevant. All military, civil crevice, and security bureau license holders get finger print scanned.
What is the issue with them having one more finger print? They already know you form birth till death.
One more step. Make all the voting data public with easy lookup access. See who you votes for where, voting records. Just like looking up you car renewal.

Your ID uses biometric data.
That’s my point. They already have our prints. Let’s make them use it for the right reasons.
As much as I might like this, the less bio data the gubmint has, the better.

Waiting to hear your suggestion that would help with fraud and repeat votes.
It was in my edit.
Photo IDs, paper ballots, hand counting and one day voting
"oh, so you voted against me, huh? Let's send in the IRS"

They already used the IRS on conservatives. The means to know what party you vote for already exist.
But who adjudicates the fingerprints?
Good question. I guess maybe draft those citizens like you would for jury selection
Step 5: Now the gov't has your fingerprints on file.
If you have a drivers license or ID. Or born in the United States and have a passport or naturalized citizenship They have it. Irrelevant. All military, civil crevice, and security bureau license holders get finger print scanned.

Not as long as machines are used for tabulation of votes.
Hence why they are audited. I guess I forgot to mention hand counted also.
