Europede here. All I seem to see of Mr Sowell is sloganeering soundbites, there must be more to him than memes. What books of his should I read to get a better idea of him?
Any. No, I'm not being flippant or edgy. The man puts out quality in every aspect, be it truth of slavery, economics, politics, you name it; he has extremely insightful thoughts, historical comparison/facts, and conclusions on all of it. I've learned or filled in gaps of my own knowledge just by listening or reading his works.
I would recommend choosing the topic then seeking out his books on that topic via bookseller, amazon, or the like. No, I don't like amazon either but sometimes they have what you cannot find so I bite the bullet, as the saying goes.
I want to echo this 1,000%; also not snarky / sarcastic. 😎🙌🏻🔥⚡🤓👋🏻
Literally pick up ANY of his books that sound interesting to you, and you will be richly rewarded.
The man is amazing!
He's been out publicly fighting leftism in all its forms since the 80s. The guy is more of a conservative than most of us.

He has a YouTube channel

So many great videos. He has videos regarding the slave trade as well that are just mind blowing. Things I never heard, read, or learned about in school. He is a national treasure.
It's unfortunate that anything pithy, punchy, and loaded with truth can get casually labeled as sloganeering, a/k/a talking points, and then easily dismissed—even if that was not your intention in this case.
After all, if something spoken is smart, substantive and insightful, so much that people are "talking" about it, that's kind of the "point" of saying it to begin with.
