The Europeans went farther down the road to globalism by joining the EU and giving up their individual currencies for the Euro. They have a lot of changes to make to go back to soverign nations again.
Not all. Some countries kept their own currency inside country. Like Germany. They still have the Deutsche Mark besides the Euro. Along with a few others as well.
Late fiancee was deutsche, she never talked about marks, only euros. In fact the only member I know of that kept their previous currency was the UK, and they "left".
I understand it’s still an acceptable currency there locally besides Euros. It’s just printed paper and coin. Not difficult to switch back to even if they aren’t currently using them as their main currency.

Or: It could be argued that the EU was intended to be a Mark 2 USA - a United States of Europe, if you like. The US had its Federal government from Day 1 while Europe took a long time to catch up.
They ironed out some issues like not needing to have the high officials elected by the people. The US has had a common currency for some time and the US has a version of the Schengen agreement that allows people to freely move between states and trade barriers are minimal.
The US has one foreign policy and one Military and Brussels is trying to make that happen in the EU as well.
Sounds a lot like the States giving up their power to the Federal Government. Maybe soon the power will return to the states as the Founding Fathers wanted.

Need to deport a ton of refugees who no longer qualify for the status. Save a ton of money on public support. Might also decrease a lot of crime.
