I read recently that you used to be able to get iodide toothpaste, but they squashed that in favour of fluoride. Fluoride is toxic but iodine is something we are chronically short of and our body knows how to get rid of a reasonable excess of it if we get too much.
Why ise fluoride if iodide toothpaste supports enamel?
I agree. I sip three drops of iodine in warm water every now and then. ..mostly I put three drops on my skin.
Didn't know iodine was good for enamel. Thanks for that.
How can fluoride that eats through concrete and is from the scrubbers of the phosphate aluminium and nuclear industries be good for anything..never mind teeth. It is a neurotoxin. ..it costs the pineal gland with a white coat..seen autopsy photos. It is one of many measures to stop spiritual growth and dumb the population down so they believe the crap they tell you.
I know that it was brought up in the house of commons that the state of dental health in the country for children is absolutely dire....not mentioned of course was the fact it was no better in fluoridated areas. Now it's everywhere in UK . I drink Aldi spring water which came out very well in tests of purity etc never cook with fluoridated water it increases the effect.
Teeth prior to fluoridation was fine...vitamin D was in everything..everybody was outdoors walking to school and walking to work etc or to catch a bus or train to work....they even made beer with lots of vitamin D and everybody was healthy ..then the tavistock institute started saying vit d was bad. The beer stopped
Fluoride in large quantities can be poison just like the heavy metals in vaccines. We should not worry about this because all we get are small doses of Fluoride and heavy metals like mercury. You know these have health benefits because the government said they do. Always trust your government. What could go wrong! KEK
Putting iodine into salt, which everyone used, worked fairly well to suppress a host pernicious diseases and conditions that were common at the time (the early 20th century). This was after the ones looking into it discovered that all those seemingly unrelated health issues resulted from iodine deficiency.
We could be charitable to think they reasoned the same thing would work with fluoride for tooth health, but I think that's a stretch, considering what we know now about how the powers that will soon no longer be operated. Fluoride is a poison at the levels they are putting into drinking water. If you have any experience with plants, you will see damage from fluorine accumilation in the tissues over time when you water them from the tap. Yellow spots and streaks will appear in the leaves and the health of the plant will decline. What do you think happens in people when that stuff accumulates in their tissues? Well, "they" know what happens. There is abundant easy-to-find research on the subject, and news isn't good. Teacher's unions aside, it might be the reason there are so many who seem to be cognitively impaired and unable to think and make logical connections.
Here is a good article about fluoridated water from someone who made it his mission to research it. There is a list of bottled waters tested for fluoride. Surprisingly, there are a few that are fluoride free, but he cautions to keep updated about that because the companies often change their formulas for ingredients.
Funny, I grew up on well water and only ever got topical fluoride at the dentist and I have never have a cavity approaching 1/2 century old yet I drink soda and eat what I will and simply take care of my teeth.
in some areas of the country well water contains natural fluoride. Not sure if well water is checked for that when they test it for contaminants. Any well drillers here with info on that?
not sure why the downvote. It was a warning to those with their own private well. If you don't want fluoride, I was saying be sure and have your water tested for it. We moved to the country recently and they tested our well water before we bought the property, but I did not consider that it may have natural fluoride. I do not recall it being on the report when they tested the water. That's why I requested any well drillers out there that may have the answer as to if it is even tested for. Should be something one should know, I would think.
When I was a kid, the schools brought in a trailer and we all lined up to get (straight?) fluoride swabbed onto our teeth. I remember the liquid made the glands behind my jaws ache.

Depopulate. Depopulate depopulate
do they still add iodide to salt?
Only if you specifically buy iodised salt I think, and it isn't very much.
The iodised salt container I have here has potassium iodate in it. I don't think that's going to disappear. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potassium_iodate
Wikipedia says this about using potassium iodate rather than potassium iodide:
The iodine produced under these conditions might evaporate I suppose.
"Boggles my mind how people are opposed to having neurotoxins in their water!"
These "people" are so braindead.

My car engine needs oil, but should I pour it all over my carseat for good measure? No.
