Can you help me? I have been married for 10 years and I’m pretty sure my husband is a narcissist. I’m at the end of my rope. Do you know where I can find resources to learn more about narcissism and how to combat it?
I feel I could give seminars on narcissistic personality disorder. A therapist told me that I have two choices. Stay, or leave. You can not ever change a narcissist. Once you leave the bubble of oppression, you will find yourself again.
Don’t study narcissism. It serves no purpose but validation of who they are. You have to heal yourself, so you can move on and never attract narcs again.
Study codependency. Read, “co dependent no more.” It changed my life. It feels so good to be free from them. In all aspects of my life.
Studying codependency is important, but studying narcissism does serve a purpose. It helps you understand what you've been through and helps you recognize much earlier in future relationships when you're dealing with a narcissist.
There's lots of information on YouTube. Surviving Narcissism and MedCircle have good channels. Some books I found helpful include "The Betrayal Bond: Breaking Free of Exploitive Relationships" by Patrick Carnes and "Why Does He Do That?" by Lundy Bancroft. The latter isn't directly about narcissism per se, but it can help you understand some manipulative techniques abusers use that leave you confused and blaming yourself. Once you start searching, you'll find a wealth of information and can choose sources that speak to you.
There is a really good youtube channel: Michelle Nieves coaching. Also Dr. Ramani. However be aware that the recurring theme is to run and not look back. I'd advise that we are to be shrewd, but not without grace. Interestingly, many people exhibit these traits from time to time... many haven't dealt with their childhood traumas. Patrick Teahan's channel is really good for that area. God be with you.
Oh gosh, I'm so sorry. I had to leave. I was broken. I learned more after I left. I needed space to think clearly. Here's a great lady to start with. I've learned a lot from YouTube, honestly. The distance gave me clarity. Ill keep you in my prayers. These people are not worth it. Promise.

This was a great video, thank you.
Angie has a lot of good ones. She's an expert on narcs and coping.
If he’s a narcissist, get the heck out. There is usually one word you cann associate with one besides psycho that clearly ahold warn you to stay away from them and that is, reprobate!
