this makes me struggle with how to express skepticism without being a wet blanket or worse.
The exotic patent stuff always seemed thin to me. And people on here claiming insider status.. IDK. the further back in the account history i dig the more doubtful i get.

Discussing this is fine, and it should be questioned. More importantly in this case, it's "does the theory add up" versus which anon pieced it together.

Personally, I don't think you have to worry about it. You're fine. You're not a shill.
Some examples:
Users that respond off topic to a top comment, and continue to argue about the off topic comment. So now everyone actually discussing the subject is pushed further down the thread.
Or the users that reply to one comment with a reply broken up into two comments for no reason. They continue to respond to each comment with the similar responses. Again, derailing the thread.
It's a time waster. Especially when people start arguing off topic about thier woo-woo spirituality and trying to convert people.
Thanks I appreciate it. It's hard to go wrong with sticking to the intellectual side and keeping ego out of it.
I hadn't put a lot of thought into sliding tactics, i just focus on the content and history of any given poster. We slid into endless zombie shill fighting for so long that it's hard to keep a bigger picture. Must be way worse for a mod.
Cats had a great post a long while back about cointelpro tactics, one of the best write ups on the subject I can recall seeing here.
Might be a great time to dust it off and resticky it. When you know their ways the glow becomes obvious. Hey u/catsfive don't suppose you remember where you put that one because I sure can't find it.
Free speech vs obvious glow fagging is a sticky wicket for me. Better to help anons see through the bullshit than banhammer sometimes. Sometimes not.

I didn't either until I became a mod.
Our loyal pedes on this site are wonderful. I wouldn't have learned about this stuff without their consistent reporting of comments.
