How exactly would a nuclear scare event wake up normies? Seems to me that such an event would only reinforce their delusion that Putin is a genocidal maniac.

I’m sure some are, everyone wakes up at their own pace. We need a scare event to get everyone on the same page, we just don’t know for sure what the scare event is or how it will work. We’ll just have to wait for that part of the movie.
