What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
Damn it, I don't even have to play it and now it's stuck in my head (I find this one kind of amusing, but certainly sort of at the filler end of things...but it sure is catchy!..).
("Kid Charlemagne," "Sign In Stranger" and "Haitian Divorce" are probably my favorites on that album.)
Caves of Altamira is a fantastically arranged and played song itself. That is one of my favorite albums ever.
Heh, different strokes and all that...I couldn't tell you how that goes as I always skip it...Royal Scam is probably the last album I pull out if I am in the mood for SD actually. I have a buddy that it's his favorite though, any time they come up he says this :).
Edit: Not counting 2AN. I cannot STAND that album. It's like they came back and overdid EVERYTHING. Unlistenable - and I keep trying it periodically to see if it's just me (I can't quite get rid of it). And it got the grammy. Then "Everything Must Go" is best-of IMO, and totally flopped....
The only SD concert I saw was the 2AN tour. I was just excited to get to see them! They lost their edge as they aged. I guess most do.
Tour is different than album, though I expect you had to suffer a few album cuts on that one? Hopefully not too many! I've seen them 3 times, all more recently than that, and I certainly wouldn't say they lost any edge. Definitely consistently one of the best bands I've seen live, if the one thing I would have liked to see would be a deep cuts show or two (edit: which wasn't a big deal enough for me to travel for) instead of the general-audience greatest-hits set.
