I need to speak up to address something. I’m beginning to see a lot pessimism here. People are saying we need to be realistic about what we believe is going to happen. They say we need to lower our expectations to avoid being crushed by defeat. What they are saying is that they think nothing has actually changed enough to matter and that we are a fragile bunch who cannot weather the defeat they think is inevitable. They will say they only think it is possible and that we should be prepared for a bad outcome, but the truth is they have already reached a conclusion, and they want others to agree with them to affirm to themselves that what they fear is accurate. So they tell us that the idea of winning is unrealistic.
But that is not how any war has ever been won––in the entire history of the world. An army that perceives that attitude in their enemy knows the victory is already in their hands. The world is also not changed by people who fear the establishment’s power to keep things the same. It is changed by the brave who will stand through any adversity to make sure it does change.
If I didn’t know better, I would think that we have been infected by the despair of Patriots.win. It is as if they looked over the divide and decided to bring us down to their level of pessimistic fear because could not endure our positivity and optimism.
It is certainly prudent to be realistic about the intentions and tactics of our enemies, but that should never extend to giving the battle away for the sake of our feelings because we might lose. That is surrendering before we even start, and it is not in the fierce heart of a warrior who keeps one thing always in focus: winning the war.
There is much at stake, and it should be no surprise to anyone that our enemies will keep fighting while they still stand. Are we going to be disheartened when they didn’t fall in the first volley of fire? Did we expect to be home in time for supper after an easy victory? What kind of people are we? Are we people who forge ahead despite opposition or setbacks, or are we people who give into despair and lower our weapons for the enemy to come and take?
Pessimism is not being realistic, and we need to see it for what it is: a tactic of our invisible enemy to rob us of our strength. If hope is deterred by setbacks, it was not hope. It was evaluation based upon circumstances, unsteady and changeable as wind. True hope looks beyond circumstances to see what is possible, and it gives the strength to make it happen. Hope is far from being a useless emotion, and those who say so don’t understand what hope actually is. A warrior who doesn’t hold high the hope of winning will die on the battlefield––or he will run away to save his skin. The only alternative to hope is fear, and those who throw away their hope do it because they are afraid. That is not an option. Fear is the thing we are supposed to be fighting.
Great use of the concept of faith that appropriates what it sees in mind. Faith acts as if it already won.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Good point. Hope is listed with faith and love in 1 Corinthians 13 as an essential spiritual element that abides (continues in time), and the three of these virtues work together.
We are winning. That much I know.
"I'm not a doomer -- I'm just a realist!"
--said every doomer, ever.
The way I see things is that as each day passes the battle intensifies. There are strong wins all over the place as well as strong setbacks. The MSM keeps all the wins hidden to defeat us mentally. MSM is poison and should be avoided as much as possible. We know God wins this battle in the end. This is an indisputable fact. That does not mean the winning will come easy. We must have faith and endure to the end. We must have confidence that we are on the winning team and fight the battle without wavering in faith.
There will be many setbacks on the way to victory but we must not let them blind us to our many victories. We are truly living in the last days before the enemy of all souls is defeated for all eternity.
This Great Awakening in which we are living is truly a Biblical moment in history. It is on us to awaken as many as we can. It is a tough job with many powerful forces against us. We must rise up and speak our truths without fear. Not in haughtiness but in love. We must endure in faith until the end.
I was meditating on this point this morning. When I pray for this nation and this world, my first and most ardent prayer has always been that the truth, ugly as it is, finally burst through and the MSM be destroyed. And I found myself wondering why, of all of the evil perpetrated by satan and his unelected cronies, why the MSM bothers me the most? And you said it - it's the morale factor. They're trying to destroy our morale by hiding the truth and the strength of our wins so we feel like its hopeless.
Good point that there will be defeats as well as victories. That is to be expected. Better point that God has His hand in this.
Pray for more faith! Remember this truth. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. I interpret that Faith is a ***gift *** of the Lord to undeserving people, the outworking of God’s electing grace and the atonement of Jesus for His own. Ephesians 2:8 confirms the truth that faith is ultimately a gift of God. “The gift of God” in the original Greek appears in the neuter grammatical form, which means that it refers back to both grace and faith earlier in the verse. Grace and faith are divine gifts, and our Father does not give them to all people. Only this view of faith is consistent with the biblical teaching on the pervasiveness of our depravity and our desperate state apart from Christ.
Been thinking about these verses lately in the sense of how a lot of people will deny the truth even unto their death... Rev. 8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.
Systematically collecting all possible believers, probably saved a few fence sitters that day!
Ask yourself this, who's the prince of this world?
I keep telling myself I don't want to be another internet armchair quarterback to the end of this world.
The prince of this world has been judged. Jesus gave us power over all the power of that enemy in His name. We don't know what that means because we don't believe. Occupy until He comes.
I've read His holy word and I_Believe that we will have evil in control of this world until He comes again with his judgement. I keep wondering who will be the ONE to get the world to all agree to a 7 year peace deal. I think that marks the start of something in my book. Ever wonder which countries would join us in a fight to keep our own land? Their are countries out their that do not want USofA owned and operated by another country or become the us of nato, or who knows. WHo's gonna help us defend our homeland? oops tangent and derailed. my apologies Fren.
No need to apologize. My tangents are legendary.
I have read God's word, too, and I don't believe we are there yet, meaning at the end, even though I do believe many prophecies in both the Old Testament and the book of Revelation are being fulfilled before our eyes. I think that's part of Q meant by saying we were going to see something "Biblical."
Do me a favor. Read the 70 weeks prophecy in Daniel one more time without the filter of what you have been taught about it. Forget the supposed gaps in time and the changed meaning imposed on the last part. That entire prophecy has nothing to do with Revelations––absolutely nothing. It was fulfilled completely by the coming of Jesus, His ministry to the Jews before and after His death and resurrection, and the subsequent destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans. Nothing in that entire prophecy is about an antichrist. (The apparent switches of focus in the last verses do not represent a linear train of thought that suddenly throws us into the distant future.)

It's also very possible that unrealistic expectations and subsequent disappointments have dragged morale down and cause many people to leave this community. I'm pretty sure many people have date fagged to their friends and family over the past few years and been embarrassed and rejected by them, when predictions didn't come to pass.
There is a constant struggle between pessimism and optimism, within human beings. Nobody should be scorned or judged because of a pessimism that is understandable.
It is not scorn to encourage people to drop a bad habit. I have scorn for no one. I understand how easy it is to give into despair because I have done it. That doesn't mean I have to do it anymore.
Except many people aren't giving into despair. They're moving away from despair and engaging in their own lives. Ignoring politics and ignoring all the negative things going on today. I know of many people who don't care about any of this and are leading very happy and productive lives.
And you're 100% correct. Researching and being engaged in the Great Awakening is mentally taxing. I don't think anybody without faith could carry on for very long.
It is written "The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow." We are living this truth.... Researching and being engaged in the Great Awakening provides greater wisdom and also my increased grief (PizzaGate/2020election just to name 2 of 100's). Oh to be naïve again and not know what I have learn, although seemingly powerless to help. Would I be better not to know anything, head-in-the-sand, but a smile. or after you've seen a little behind the curtain, you can't deceive yourself anymore?
Those who no longer care will care again. It will not be possible for them not to care when it touches them, and their happy and productive lives are destroyed by the people their neighbors voted for.
This is not going to be ended by those who disengage. God bless them, but like the ones who were ejected from Gideon's army, they have disqualified themselves for this particular fight. Let the ones who remain be sure to keep their focus at the stream.
