We are developing technologies that will allow us to someday be able to predict the past.
The big changes in Sea Level denote the beginning of one ‘recorded history’ and the end of another ;)
12500 years ago an ice age was ended by a comet hitting the NA ice sheet. Sea levels rose 500 feet in a relatively short amount of time.
"but mah carbon"
It is what God used to wipe the Giants in the "Golden Age"
Pre Diluvian earth.
Or maybe higher level spiritual beings protect us, and we are to stupid to know the difference. After all the one spirit is manifested in higher spiritual beings.
The downvoted always verify the truth :).
Scripture says God set boundaries for the Seas.
Water expands when it freezes and shrinks when it melts.
If the ice caps were melting, the water level would be FALLING.
The arctic is solid ice and if it melts, then the sea levels will drop. The antarctic is a continent and the ice sits on top of it. If it were to all melt, then the sea levels would probably rise. All that being said, I think the planet changes and has done so for its entire history. I believe that past civilizations had reached levels of advancement that we can't understand. There are ruins under the ocean just off virtually every landmass in the world. The oceans did rise and covered cities around the world. What does all this mean? I honestly have no idea. I just know that we don't know very much about anything in history beyond 4-5k years ago.
My Cupeth doth not runneth over wheneth Ice melteth me Lord!!
