If I recall correctly, a wave of former Intelligence Operatives ran for house seats in the last election cycle or so. The Deep State/IC is the fourth branch of government right now, in my opinion, and controls the other three. They have blackmail on everyone, because they can spy on everyone.
I could care less about Cheney but I do find it interesting, and a tell, that she is endorsing a former IC. I find that way more interesting than her endorsement of a democrat.
