No, I mean “your incorrect, anachronistic understanding of it.”
If you’re trying to convince me of your preposterous, heretical understanding, it’s not going to work.
I know and see the truth...you do not even know what you’re looking at. You spend an inordinate amount of time trying to discount the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church - but you have no idea what you’re talking about.
I am just a dude. I converted to Catholicism less than two years ago. Every day I convert more and more to Christ. Every day God reveals to me my own sin, deeper and deeper, and I rejoice that He grants me the knowledge that I may confess my sin and be made more pure in my heart through His grace. In this way, as the Apostle Paul puts it, “in my weakness I am made strong through Christ.”
The current pope appears to my eyes to be a heretic, and possibly not even the true pope. I do not put my faith in him though - as you correctly point out, he is a man. As a church needs a pastor, so the Church needs a head. The papacy is the office, occupied by a man, essentially a steward of the throne, keeping the seat warm for the return of Christ (which may well be imminent).
May the peace of the Holy Spirit, which surpasses all understanding, illuminate your mind and spirit always.
The reason there are so many churches is because every new denomination forms as a result of a theological squabble with the denomination it came out of. The reason I mention Luther is because the entirety of your theology exists as a result of Luther, who removed books from the very Bible that you anoint yourself as an expert of. Turn from your foolishness and eat of His Body and drink of His Blood!
You have accepted heresy, and now teach it. May God forgive you - you know not what you do.
Peter appointed the next pope. St John appointed his successor (Ignatius of Antioch).
You are absolutely incorrect. Your pride in your own understanding is darkening your intellect. You preach heresy abd steer others to hell in your ignorance. Study the early (pre-constantine/anti(before)nicene) church fathers. Your understanding of scripture is a result of the great heretic Luther - your understanding completely relies on his apostasy. He also believed Jesus, our Lord and Savior, a perfect and spotless victim and redemption of our sins, who suffered and died while being totally capable of ending His own suffering at any moment yet due to His submission to His Father’s will accepted the cup of suffering given to Him for our redemption, was a fornicator...this is what Luther, the drunken gluttonous bigamist believed. Your theology flows only from Luther and not from the unified Body of Christ, His bride, which will be purified and made perfect before Him in the eternal wedding feast of Heaven. The pure doctrine of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church which remains unchanged since Christ founded His church with the Apostles and gave the keys to Peter - is the path to Christ.
You teach what you do not understand. I do not teach what I do understand. I plant seeds and the Lord brings the increase. You need to do more research about the early church before you give another sermon.
