To be fair, this is likely because they would essentially be supporting Elon/ Tesla (even though a separate company) which they see as a competitor in the EV space.

Yep. I know someone who used to work in the Norfolk, VA Ford plant that made trucks. It closed down years ago.

GM suspends ads because people who can’t buy their product are leaving twitter. Marketing genius.
Elon can replace their ads with Tesla ads which point out their superior battery lives as opposed to GM electric vehicles.
