No, I actually do believe they are beefing up the IRS with 87,000 more employees. Either because 1) as things get worse, Americans are going to increasingly ask why we are still paying taxes to this illegal regime, and 2) because the end goal is to use the IRS for a social credit system and they need the money/labor to build the infrastructure for that.

There was probably something written into the Inflation Reduction Act farce that allows them to circumvent all standard Federal employee hirings. They are doing WHATEVER they want at this point.

The IRS is going to be attacked by the millions of people that sell junk on ebay to make a few bucks this year. If they took PayPal, and they all do, they're going to be surprised to learn that they'll owe about 40% on any cash earned over $600 unless they kept all of the paperwork/depreciation for the items they're listing (then the tax may be less depending on total profit). The IRS is making these credit card apps report this now.
